After her own battle with cancer in 2020-21, Lori Keeton was determined to give back in a meaningful way to those suffering from cancer.  After sponsoring a fundraiser to raise money to cover cancer patients’ monthly fees to utilize a wellness center at Novant Health that Ms. Keeton had used during her own recovery, Ms. Keeton was asked to serve as an inaugural member of the Novant Health Cancer Advisory Council.   This group plays a crucial role in improving patient care, reaching out to the community, and supporting innovative ideas at Novant Health Cancer Institute. The group is comprised of accomplished leaders from across the state from various fields, including business and community affairs, alongside patients, families, and community partners.  Their collective aim is to enhance cancer services for our communities. They want to streamline the journey from diagnosis to treatment, reduce stress, and ensure swift assistance for everyone in need.
