Keeton to be honored as a 2018 Leader in the Law

Lori Keeton has been selected as an honoree for the 2018 Leaders in the Law awards hosted by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.

According to Lawyers Weekly, “the award honors legal professionals licensed and practicing law in the state of North Carolina, who have gone above and beyond in their profession and their community. These honorees represent the most influential individuals within the state’s legal community.”

Ms. Keeton has been practicing civil litigation in North Carolina since 1998. She has received numerous professional recognitions including being named to Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite in Litigation for 2016-2018 and to The Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of Municipal Law and Municipal Litigation in 2018.

Ms. Keeton is also an active volunteer both within and outside the legal community. She has served on several different committees for the Mecklenburg County Bar as well as the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation. She has been installed as President-Elect of the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation for 2018-2019 and will serve as its President in 2019-2020. She is also the Content Editor for the Live Loud Collective, a Sunday school teacher and volunteer at Northside City Church and a frequent speaker to children and teenagers who are interested in learning more about our legal system. She previously served on the Boards of Directors for Justice Initiatives and Selwyn Presbyterian Child Development Center and was named one of the “50 Most Influential Women” by the Mecklenburg Times in 2016.
